Hello. I am Marcos Ruiz. I was born in Guadalajara, Mexico and came to the United States when I was four years old. College is important for me because my parents came to the U.S. to give my six siblings and me a better future. So I will give back to my parents by going to college and not having to struggle as much as they did. I plan to go to the east coast or Washington for college and study child development, then go to med school and become a pediatrician. One valuable that is important to me is my zarape which is a Mexican colored blanket. It is important to me because I am very proud of where I came from, and with that I just feel very proud of my culture. My main hobby is photography, from nature photography to portraits. Photography it gives me an option to go out and explore this beautiful city we live in.
